Slan leat a chairde (goodbye friend)

Our much loved dog Barney died on Sunday.
He has been a member of our family for 13 years.
To us he was more than just a dog.  He was a companion and friend
who wanted nothing more than a bowl of food and water and as much
love as you could give him.  He would happily plod along after us on
his walks and liked nothing better than a swim in the sea and to drink the
seawater.  We will miss him.

8th June 1999 to 17th June 2012
Thank you for 13 wonderful years.

    I am so sorry, Linda. Dogs are such an important part of our lives. Their unconditional love is amazing. We've loved and lost 3 dogs over the years and it never gets easier, but then we love again. I like to think that dogs live shorter lives than us so that we can love as many as we can.

    I'm so sorry about your losing Barney. The dogs that share our lives make each day that much better and it's so hard to say goodbye to them.

    Oh Linda! I'm just getting caught up on my blog reading that I haven't had a chance to do in a couple weeks. I am so very sorry of your loss. I completely understand the loss of a beloved pet. You are so right...he wasn't 'just a dog'. They truly become family members and I know what it's like to loose them. He was so blessed to be in your family.
